This Diya plate coaster is inspired by Sacred Geometry- Yantras. Yantra is a Sanskrit word that means "contraption" or "machine." The use  of Yantras dates back to 11,000 - 10,000 BC. Indian Tantric traditions used yantras as mystical diagrams to aid in meditation and deity worship. This Tara yantra diya plate cum coaster is designed on Bidri metalcraft.

The word Tara means ‘star’ and it symbolizes light. Thus, Goddess Tara as ‘light’ is known to guide, carry over, overcome and conquer hurdles for acquiring knowledge, attain powerful speech and acquire the qualities of learning. The square is the fundamental format of Tara yantra. There is a significant, well thought out logic behind it. The phenomenal world extends into four directions. These four directions represent the totality of space, and they bind the earth in order.
