ISRO’s Chandrayaan-2 - the second Indian spacecraft of Lunar exploration satellites were launched in July, 2019 from the Sriharikota spaceport by GSLV Mk-III. It comprised an orbiter, lander named Vikram and rover named Pragyan developed in India. Chandrayaan’s orbiter, loaded with eight scientific instruments designed to explore the South Polar region of the Moon. The orbiter and lander modules were separated as two independent satellites. The orbiter was successfully placed in its intended orbit around the Moon. For our understanding of the Moon's evolution and mapping of minerals and water molecules in polar regions. There were eight scientific payloads hosted on the orbiter craft. Images by Orbiter High Resolution Camera (OHRC) onboard Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter-craft, used for landing sites characterization.
