The lander of Chandrayaan-3, Vikram, landed on the lunar south pole on August 23, 2023. It deployed a rover, Pragyan, on the south pole. Pragyan can travel up to 1.3 km on the lunar surface. It will study the chemical and physical composition of the lunar surface.
