Khunn Toran - Handwoven and Handcrafted Khunn Fabric

A Toran is tied on the door of a home and temple to please and attract the divine energy of Goddess Lakshmi. Torans are traditionally made of marigold flowers and mango leaves. Saffrony orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction and success. Green of the mango leaves signifies life, oxygen, stimulation and the tropics!

The traditional Toran is presented here in Khunn fabric, passionately woven by weavers from Ilkal in Karnataka and a distinctive part of the identity of rural women of north Karnataka, and parts of adjoining Maharashtra. The colours of Mango leaves and Marigold flowers are represented in the khunn cloth toran. A lucky and practical charm for your home, with its colourful vibrancy.

Five Elements | Copper Glass

The cosmos, the human body and your house are made up of five elements – earth, water, fire, wind and space - the proper alignment of these elements in a house brings happiness, good health and prosperity. The copper glass with symbols of the 5 elements represents this alignment. Made by artisans of Tambat Metalcraft from Pune, Maharashtra whose legacy dates to the 17th century when they were invited to Pune by the Peshwas. Ancient Indian wisdom has for long advocated the benefits of storing and drinking water from copper vessels.

Sri Yantra Clock — Rajasthani Wood Craft

Indian ideas of the early Purana/Mahabharata times on the nature of space, time and consciousness have been of interest to the physicist and the philosopher alike. 'KALA' means both TIME and SPACE and are not two separate entities but are the manifestation of a single entity.

The Sri Yantra Clock is an ode to these traditions of philosophy and science. It is crafted from wood and hand-painted, by the artisans of Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is inspired by the “Sri Yantra” - a yantra, sacred geometry, signifying the eight directions, nine interlocking triangles representing the planets, surrounding a central bindu and bordered by lotus petals and 4 triangles that signify the masculine (Shiva) and 5 that signify the feminine (Shakti). The Sri Yantra is mathematically precise and based on the Golden Proportion. Everything that exists in nature, is constructed in a proportionately precise manner!

Sweet Beginnings - Pedhas in a Meenakari Brass Bowl

Raja Man Singh of Mewar is regarded as the patron of the Meenakari art in 16th century Jaipur due to whose efforts this art gained popularity. The art of Meenakari involves coloring and ornamenting the surface of metals with the use of brilliant colors in a beautiful design. This brass bowl, with Meenakari work, is a representation of the attention to detail and the artistry of life. Here’s to sweet beginnings with deliciously sweet traditional pedhas!
