The Hobo bag is a style of Yoga Bag for Mat handbag or purse that is typically large and characterised by a crescent shape, a slouchy posture and a long strap designed to wear over the shoulder. Close to a Jhola bag popular in India!

It is called so, since it resembles the shape of the bindle on a stick that Hobos are portrayed as carrying over their shoulder in drawings and cartoons. The term Hobo originated in the North western United States, around 1890 and was used to migrant workers or homeless vagrants!! The bag style later became popular for its comfort and style quotient!

Use it to carry your Yoga mat for your Yoga Workouts. Or it can serve as a perfect Beach Bag on your trips to the beach! Roomy enough to hold a yoga mat, yoga towel, water bottle, or other yoga essentials.  This wide-mouth shoulder bag is light in weight too!

The artwork on the bag is inspired by SURYA NAMASKAR.  Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutation, is a blend of harmonious yoga postures (asanas) that energise the body, build strength and relax the nervous system. In many cultures, light has long been a symbol of consciousness and self-illumination. Our primary source of light is, of course, the sun. In India, the Rig Veda declares that Surya is the Soul, both of the moving and non-moving entity.  Besides good health, Surya Namaskar also provides an opportunity to express gratitude to the Sun. The asana sequence originated in the Hatha Yoga tradition on 9th century in India.

Stay fit and let your inner Sun shine with Yoga and this Hobo bag that will carry your Yoga Mat.
