Khunn Toran - Handwoven and Handcrafted Khunn Fabric
A Toran is tied on the door of a home and temple to please and attract the divine energy of Goddess Lakshmi. Saffrony orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. The traditional Toran is presented here in Khunn fabric, passionately woven by weavers from Ilkal in Karnataka and a distinctive part of the identity of rural women of north Karnataka, and parts of adjoining Maharashtra. A lucky and practical charm for your home, with its colourful vibrancy.
Saraswati Yantra Diya Plate - Bidri Craft
Light-up the yantra and the energy and your luck with a tea-light/diya plate which comes with Saraswati Yantra. It is inspired by Sacred Geometry- Yantra. Reminiscent of the yantra typically drawn in white chalk on a black slate, this one is in silver! A Rangoli. Kolam pattern on the side, to keep your diya! Made from an alloy of zinc and copper with pure silver inlay work (Tarkashi). This Saraswati Yantra Diya Plate is rendered by artisans of the Bidri Metalcraft, craft that was developed in the 14th century C.E. made by artisans from Bidar in Karnataka.

A Khunn kite hanging in ochre and saffrony orange with rudraksha beads and a small brass bell is a colourful invitation to anyone who comes to your door. Three different colours of Khunn fabric in tones dear to Hindu god 'Ganesha', woven in Sooji Mallige (jasmine) motif have been converted into little kites (baby cushions). Strung with Rudraksha beads and ending with a small brass bell, this is a versatile piece that can be used as a curtain tie with a string, hung from a door knob, or at the pooja place, makes a perfect house warming gift and makes for a warm style statement.

Lacquered, wooden tea light candle holder- a perfect gift for a new home - is made by artisans of Channapatna Woodcraft, craft that has existed since the 1700s near Bangalore in Karnataka. Said to have originated in Persia, Tipu Sultan got local artisans from around Channapatana to learn and develop it, originally to make toys. The items are made using traditional, turned lacquer ware techniques and are coloured using natural dyes. The products are absolutely eco friendly and non hazardous.

The use of lota (a word with no English equivalent) has been epic and is believed to have been in existence since 2300 BCE! A multipurpose metal vessel for all walks of Indian life, it is used for fetching water, performing religious rituals, and even practicing yoga.
